What does the Bible say about crystals?
Great question! Here's the answer:
The Bible talks about crystals, but not in a superstitious way.
The Bible talks about a few crystals, such as rubies (Proverbs 8:11), sapphires (Lamentations 4:7), and topaz (Job 28:19). The Levitical high priest wore a breastplate that had twelve stones on it (Exodus 39:10–13). In front of the heavenly throne is a river as clear as crystal (Revelation 22:1). In none of these instances are the crystals said to have mystical powers.
Crystals are believed within pseudoscience to contain magical properties. Certain crystals are supposed to help you heal, give you more energy, or help you to sleep. Other crystals are supposed to protect you from evil. None of these claims are biblical or factual.
God doesn't want us to be involved with the practices of the occult—evil, magical idols—including the use of crystals (Deuteronomy 18:10–12). Instead of trusting in crystals, we need to trust in God. He is our protection from evil, as He is our Good Shepherd (Psalm 23:1–6). Turn away from crystals and follow after the true God
Bible Truth
“There was something that looked like a sea of glass in front of the throne. It was as clear as crystal” (Revelation 4:6).
“Something that looked like a huge space was spread out above the heads of the living creatures. It gleamed like crystal. It was terrifying” (Ezekiel 1:22).
“The result of sin’s control in our lives is clear. It includes sexual sins, impure acts and wild living. It includes worshiping statues of gods and worshiping evil powers. It also includes hatred and fighting, jealousy and fits of anger. Sinful desire is interested only in getting ahead. It stirs up trouble. It separates people into their own little groups. It wants what others have. It gets drunk and takes part in wild parties. It does many things of that kind. I warn you now as I did before. People who live like this will not receive God’s kingdom” (Galatians 5:19–21).
