What is a miracle?
Great question! Here's the answer:
A miracle is an amazing event that is caused by God.
Miracles can only be done by God. He is our amazing and wonderful God, who is capable of anything. All of the miracles in the Bible were done by Him, and all of the future miracles that will happen will be by His doing as well. Miracles are a way God has revealed Himself to the world, especially to His people Israel (Exodus 14).
One of God's most well-known miracles is the act of creation. God created the entire world and everything in it within seven days (Genesis 1–2). He created the earth out of nothing, and it still stands today. Moreover, He created all of the animals in the world as well as human beings. His miracles are astounding, and they are abounding.
The Father also performed the miracle of raising Jesus from the dead. Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected in power. To come back from the dead is something that cannot be made up. The Lord's resurrection was a miracle because Jesus came back from the dead, which provided salvation for all people who would place faith in Him. In truth, there is no greater miracle than being saved from our sins.
Miracles happen every day, but we don't often notice them. We only think about miracles in the Bible, but God performs miracles every day. From the beautiful sunshine rising in the morning to the moon shining above at night, God's miracles are always around us. We just need to pay more attention to them.
Bible Truth
"And you will know God’s great power. It can’t be compared with anything else. His power works for us who believe. It is the same mighty strength 20 God showed. He showed this when he raised Christ from the dead. God seated him at his right hand in his heavenly kingdom" (Ephesians 1:19-20).
"The Spirit of the God who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you. So the God who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies. He will do this because of his Spirit who lives in you" (Romans 8:11).
