What is the Bible?

Great question! Here's the answer:

The Bible is God's special book that tells us about Him, His love for us, and how to live.

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! It's not just one book—it's actually a collection of 66 books written by about 40 different people over about 1,500 years. But here's what makes it special: even though many people wrote it, the words all come from God.

The Bible is divided into two main parts. The Old Testament was written before Jesus was born and tells about creation, God's people Israel, and God's promises. The New Testament tells about Jesus's life, the early church, and how to follow God.

God gave us the Bible so we could know Him better, learn right from wrong, and understand His amazing plan to save us through Jesus. When you read the Bible, you're reading God's own words to you!

Bible Truth

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path" (Psalm 119:105).
