What does it mean to follow Jesus?
Great question! Here's the answer:
Following Jesus means loving Him, learning from Him, and living the way He teaches us.
Following Jesus is like being His student and friend at the same time! When Jesus was on earth, He had disciples who followed Him everywhere, learned from Him, and tried to be like Him. Today, we can follow Jesus too.
Following Jesus means reading the Bible to learn what He taught, praying to stay close to Him, and trying to obey what He says. It means loving God and loving other people. It means being kind, honest, forgiving, and helpful.
Following Jesus doesn't mean you'll be perfect—nobody is! But it means you're trying to become more like Him every day. When you mess up, you ask for forgiveness and keep going. That's what following Jesus looks like.
The best part? Jesus walks with you every step of the way. He never leaves you to figure things out alone!
Bible Truth
"Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me'" (Luke 9:23).
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people" (Matthew 4:19).
