Do angels have wings?

Great question! Here's the answer:

Some angels have wings, but others do not.

Have you seen a drawing where an “angel” looked like a baby with wings or an adult with white fluffy wings? The Bible does not describe angels like this. Sometimes angels appear to look like human men, but this doesn’t mean that they always look like human men since angels are spirit beings (Hebrew 1:14).

There are two types of angles that the Bible describes as having wings--cherubim and seraphim. The cherubim have four wings: two wings for flying and the other two for covering up their bodies (Ezekiel 1:11). Likewise, seraphim have six wings: two wings for covering their face, two wings for covering their feet, and two wings for flying (Isaiah 6:2). Wow! God’s creations are amazing!

While we cannot know for certain if other angels have wings, we can know that God created all of them to do His purpose. Let’s praise God for His awesome handiwork!

Bible Truth

"The wings of the creatures were spread out under the space. They reached out toward one another. Each creature had two wings covering its body" (Ezekiel 1:23).

"All angels are spirits who serve. God sends them to serve those who will receive salvation" (Hebrews 1:14).
