Are vampires real?

Great question! Here's the answer:

The Bible never mentions vampires, but we can use biblical ideas to help us react to vampire stories correctly.

Vampires are mythological beings who drink the blood of their victims. If a vampire bites someone, that person also becomes a vampire. Every time a vampire is created, it seeks out other people to drink their blood or to turn them into vampires. The folklore surrounding vampires traces back to Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Vampires were made popular by the classic book, Dracula by Bram Stoker. Other books, movies, and television shows have also popularized vampires, such as The Twilight Saga and The Vampire Diaries. We need to be aware that these stories are made up. There is no biblical evidence for vampires, nor is there any physical proof of them.

Vampires can be scary and lead us toward things that pull us away from God. Rather than thinking about vampires, we need to set our minds on what is good, holy, and right (Philippians 4:8). Follow God, learn more about Him, and grow in your relationship with Him.

Bible Truth

“Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things. Do what you have learned or received or heard from me. Follow my example. The God who gives peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8–9).

“Be watchful and control yourselves. Your enemy the devil is like a roaring lion. He prowls around looking for someone to swallow up” (1 Peter 5:8).

“Lord, you will give perfect peace to those who commit themselves to be faithful to you. That’s because they trust in you” (Isaiah 26:3).
