Why do we celebrate Easter?
Great question! Here's the answer:
We celebrate Easter because Jesus rose from the dead, giving us the hope of eternal life!
Easter is the most important Christian holiday because it celebrates the most amazing event in history—Jesus coming back to life!
Here's what happened: On Friday, Jesus was crucified on a cross and died. His body was placed in a tomb, and everyone thought it was over. But on Sunday morning, the tomb was empty! Jesus had risen from the dead, just like He said He would.
Why does this matter so much? Because Jesus' resurrection proves everything He said was true. It proves He really is God's Son. And it proves that death is not the end for those who believe in Him!
Because Jesus conquered death, everyone who trusts in Him will also live forever. That's why Easter is such a happy celebration—it's the day we remember that Jesus is alive and we will be too!
So while Easter eggs and candy are fun, the real reason to celebrate is that our Savior is risen!
Bible Truth
"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said" (Matthew 28:6a).
"Because I live, you also will live" (John 14:19b).
