Is it wrong to use free copies of pirated video games I find online instead of buying it at the store or downloading it?

Using movies and video games that have not been properly purchased is theft. Using them does not honor God.
Among God’s commandments to Moses is the command that we are not to steal (Exodus 20:15). In Proverbs, God’s book of wisdom, we read, Paul spoke well in saying, If there is a movie or game you wish to own, earn the money to purchase it honestly.
We often think that owning pirated video games or movies is a victimless crime, but video games and movies are expensive to produce, and their makers are entitled to payment for their time and talents. Taking movies and video games illegally is the same as stealing money from a cash register or shoplifting at a mall. Stealing is wrong and does not honor God.
