Did God know Adam and Eve would sin?

Great question! Here's the answer:

Yes, God knows everything before it even happens.

God knows all things. 1 John 3:20 says, "...God is greater than our hearts. And he knows everything." He knew Adam and Eve would sin (Genesis 3).

The good news is that God already had a plan for after Adam and Eve sinned. When God punished the serpent, He said, In the future, someone from Adam and Eve’s family would crush Satan. Who? Jesus, who is God. Romans 16:20 says, "The God who gives peace will soon crush Satan under your feet..."

God knows everything that will happen, even the bad things. Romans 8:28 promises, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. He appointed them to be saved in keeping with his purpose." He has a purpose even when bad things happen.

Bible Truth

"...Her son will crush your head. And you will bite his heel" (Genesis 3:15).

"...God is greater than our hearts. And he knows everything" (1 John 3:20).

"LORD, even before I speak a word, you know all about it" (Psalm 139:4).
